Student Administration Unit
Produced by IML for the Student Administration Unit (SAU), the new SAU site was redeveloped to adopt the UTS corporate look and feel as well as to consolidate access to Student Administration Information into a user-orientated information architecture. The SAU site is the first UTS site to implement "breadcrumb" navigation into its user interface to assist users in orientating themselves as to where they are in the structure of the site. Breadcrumbs indicate where users currently are, and where they have been within the depth of the site, enabling a click back to the original point of departure in the structure. The site was also designed to enable SAU to provide students with first point of contact information across a range of areas including enrolment, fees, Exams and Assessment, Key Dates and Graduation. News and Announcements sidebars contextual to the currently visited section enable SAU to highlight important time critical information to students visiting these pages. On every page of the site contact details are available via sidebars as well as buttons linking to forms and the One Stop Student Administration site. The SAU site will be further enhanced by Interactive "Ask a Question" FAQ interactivity.
