Faculty of IT
The new Faculty of IT website was launched in March 2005 and makes use of the new "broadsheet" design. The "broadsheet" design was originally implemented on the IML site and has since been used by the UTS Union. After usability testing it was found to be an effective way to provide multiple access points to information within a site.
The Faculty of IT website is also one of the first sites to be designed to comply with the new Web Publishing Policy. All course information on the site is being sourced directly from the UTS Course Information System (CIS) so that the information provided is accurate, consistent and easily maintained.
Events on the Faculty of IT website are being driven by a sub-calendar of the main UTS Events Calendar. This means that all events entered to appear on the Faculty of IT website are also sent to the UTS Events Calendar for inclusion, giving IT Faculty events greater exposure.
