2009 Casual Academics Conference

The Casual Academic Conference is an opportunity for UTS casual academics to come together to share information on teaching and learning and acknowledge the valuable contribution casual staff make to teaching at UTS

Date: Friday 25 September, 2009
Time: 11:00am-5.30pm
Venue: CB01.04.06

Invited Speakers:
Prof. Shirley Alexander, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Teaching, Learning & Equity)

As well as an invited speaker, the Conference will offer casual staff a range of activities that examine aspects of teaching at UTS. These will include:

  • Workshops
  • A Market Session
  • Faculty-based discussion
  • Parallel sessions by Casual Academics
  • Panel discussions
  • Networking and refreshments

Registration: is open to all UTS casual academic staff. Attendance will be paid for 5 hours (6 hours if attending a workshop) at the ‘Other Academic Activity’ rate of $34.14 per hour and is restricted to the first 150 participants.
