OCAP templates
The course request templates are the administrative starting point for new courses or specific changes to existing course arrangements that need to go via OCAP (Online Course Approval Process).
Once submitted, your request is forwarded to the Academic Programs Office (APO), who set up a template for your request in OCAP.
There are currently five templates, reflecting the different OCAP functions. These can be initiated online by faculty users:
- new course (used for a new course, new offering of an existing course or a significant change to an existing course resulting in the creation of a new course)
- change nomenclature (used for changes to the nomenclature of an existing course)
- reaccreditation
- external articulation
- discontinuation (used to start the course phasing out and discontinuation process).
OCAP
OCAP is an internal workflow system for the formal approval of course-related matters. OCAP enables certain types of faculty proposals to be completed in stages and progressed through the UTS award course approval process.
OCAP is managed by the APO in conjunction with the UTS Web team, providing a central record of UTS course-related proposals.
Refer to the OCAP User Guide (PDF 557 kB) for additional information.
Faculty users can login to OCAP to open and edit proposals.
For all OCAP inquiries, contact Simon Kalucy or Garry McLeay.
