Descriptive data
Each faculty has its own faculty approval process which should be followed when changing subject data. A change impact analysis may be required before final sign-off of any descriptive data changes, in which case a change impact analysis form should be completed.
Changes to the faculty board-approved descriptive subject data that appears in the UTS: Handbook and the subject outline PDF can be made directly in CIS by an authorised user. CIS data changes are checked and approved by APO: CIS and are then available for publication in the UTS: Handbook or subject outline PDF.
Changes to the non-faculty board-approved descriptive data in the subject outline PDF can be made directly by authorised subject coordinators in CIS: Subject Outlines.
Outlined below are the general steps required to change the CIS descriptive of a subject and subject outline.
