UTSOnline: Wikis

With the introduction of the wikis building block into UTSOnline, students can work collaboratively in groups to create a website and work on the same text. Each student can add content, edit others' contributions and reformat the layout. A full history of the revisions is maintained and accessible. Also, the instructor can view each student's individual contributions to the site.

Various guides for learning about these features and how they can be used are available:

Students can add images, make links within the text to pages they create or pages external to UTSOnline, and upload multiple files on any page. Like the blog, both Mac and PC users have a Graphical Editor with many capabilities.

Also like the blog (Journal), students can be batch enrolled into wiki groups.

The blog can be private to the members enrolled in a particular group. If negotiated upfront with students, these groups can be made available to the whole class at a later date. wiki screenshot
