UTSOnline: e-Portfolios
All UTSOnline users have their own e-Portolio site. So UTS students can create their own individual blogs and wikis outside of any UTSOnline course in which they are enrolled.
Various guides for learning about these features and how they can be used are available:
A description of the e-portfolio, which is also referred to as Expo LX.
This online Instructor guide (HTML) describes how blogs and wikis can be created, accessed and used, including sharing rights.
This help manual is now also available from within UTSOnline. To view this manual, select the question mark button located in the top right corner of the e-portfolio screen.
A PDF (1.7MB) can be downloaded onto the computer desktop and printed. This file includes guides for blogs, wikis, eportfolios and podcasts.
To access the e-portfolio, click on the 'Modify Content' button to the right of screen once you have logged in to UTSOnline.
Select the box next to 'My e-Portfolio' and then 'Submit'.
The My e-Portfolio Site will now be available whenever you login to UTSOnline.
Students can share any of their e-Portfolio blogs or wikis by making them public within the UTSOnline community or they can keep them private.
This sharing now includes inviting a person (by email), sharing with students in a particular course or with staff. Sharing can also be specified for a particular length of time.
You can contact Tanja Golja in IML to discuss ideas relating to the use of eportfolios for learning (including the design of learning tasks).
