Learning and teaching
The UTS Model of Learning has three distinctive interrelated features:
- An integrated exposure to professional practice through dynamic and multifaceted modes of practice-oriented education
- Professional practice situated in a global workplace, with international mobility and international and cultural engagement as centre piece
- Learning which is research inspired and integrated, providing academic rigour with cutting edge technology to equip graduates for life-long learning
IML provides learning and teaching information and assistance to staff who wish to develop their teaching abilities and improve their students' learning experiences. Aspects of learning and teaching in this section include: how students approach learning and their study patterns; characteristics of good teaching; planning, enhancing and evaluating your teaching; managing diversity in the classroom and enhancing experiences of group work. Practice-oriented learning and graduate attribute development are outlined with links to other relevant sections of the website. Resources in this section include the Groupwork Resource kit, Teaching Matters Video series and useful readings on teaching and learning.
