Teaching and Learning Grants and Awards
UTS has established a number of schemes which support and recognise the contributions of academics and general staff to innovations in learning and teaching. These schemes are designed to provide a pathway to national grants and awards schemes.
Funding of Teaching and Learning Initiatives
Within UTS, the annual Vice-Chancellor's Learning and Teaching Grants scheme funds learning and teaching initiatives for individuals and small teams, and also larger disciplinary and cross-disciplinary teams. Outcomes from UTS Learning and Teaching Grants may provide a pathway to an application for a national grant, such as those managed by the ALTC (until 2011), and now by the Office of Learning and Teaching (OLT) in DEEWR. For more information see UTS Learning and Teaching Grants.
Recognition of Excellent Contributions to Learning and Teaching
UTS recognises excellent contributions to learning and teaching through the annual UTS Learning and Teaching Awards and Citations scheme. Both academic and general staff members may apply for awards and citations. Recipients of UTS Learning and Teaching Awards and Citations may be eligible to apply for a National Award or Citation, such as those managed by the ALTC (until 2011), and now by the OLT. For more information see UTS Learning and Teaching Awards.
Faculty Funding and Recognition
Within faculties there may also be opportunities for funding and recognition. These opportunities would be communicated at a faculty level.
