Student view account

To enable you to view and participate in your subjects as a student, you can create a Student Test Account and then enrol yourself into the subject. This is a real student account and it is bound by the same restrictions as normal student accounts. You will not be able to see or access a subject before or after its availability dates.

How to activate your student view account

  1. Login to UTSOnline as an instructor and navigate to the Forms for Subject Setup tab at the top of UTSOnline website.

  2. Under UTSOnline Accounts click on Activate Your Student View Account

  3. Your Student View Account details will be displayed on the next screen.
     

How to enrol your student view account

  1. In the Control Panel, under Users and Groups, click on Users.

  2. On the Users page, click on Find Users to Enrol

  3. On the Add Enrolment page, add your Student View Account ID in the Username field.

    Note: All staff have a special student test account available. The username for your account is your Staff ID with an ‘st’ at the end (st for student). If your staff number is 123456 then the ID for your student test account is 123456st

  4. Make sure you set the Role as Student and set the Enrolment Availability to Yes.
  5. Click on Submit

To view your Student account, you will need to either logout of the subject and log in using your Student View Account username and password or you will need to open a different browser and login using those details.
