Re:View - Online Criterion Based Assessment

Re:View is a software application developed by Darrall Thompson (UTS:DAB) that provides online access by students to a teacher's feedback on assessment activities. With direct linking of assessment criteria to the encompassing graduate attribute, Re:View enables students to develop a more holistic understanding of their performance on a given task. Students are also able to see how they performed on each criteria in relation to the performance of the rest of the class. Grades, rather than numbers, are given for each criteria and Re:View automatically generates the overall grade.

Re:View's streamlined and functional design have helped it win wide acceptance by students and teachers in DAB where the takeup is nearly universal. Teachers report that Re:View has made marking easier and has improved communication between markers. The university is now providing support for the use of Re:View in other faculties, and for its continued development and integration into university systems.
