Standard assignment - downloading

Download student assignment submissions to your computer to review offline instead of reviewing them online in the Grade Centre. Choose to download all student assignment submissions or select to download individual student submissions as a single zipped file. Unzip the file to view the contents, where each submission is saved as a separate file.

How do I download the assignments that my students submit?

  1. In the Control Panel, under the Grade Centre, click on Full Grade Centre.

    Click on Full Grade Centre

  2. On the Grade Centre page, click on the down arrows in the heading of the Assignment Column containing the assignment you wish to download.
  3. Select Assignment File Download.

  6. On the next Download Assignment page, the system will have created a .zip file containing the assignment files, click the Download assignments now link.
  7. In the pop-up window, browse to the location on your computer that you want to save the file and click Save.
  8. Click OK to return to the Grade Centre.
  9. Once the download has completed, click the .zip file on your local computer to expand it's contents. A folder should appear containing the assignment files.

Note: If a Student has added an attachment, the downloaded zipped file may contain two files for each student: the attached file as well as a file produced by the Grade Centre that contains information about the submission and any information that the Student provided in the Text Editor or Comment areas of the assignment. Both files will have the Student's Username included in the file name for easy identification.
